What the charity does
Barmouth Sailors' Institute was established in 1890 and is a unique example of a sailors' institute. The reading room is open daily to all members of the public free of charge 7 days a week 0900-1730 hrs. Newspapers & magazines are available for reading and the many photographs and sea charts depict Barmouth's maritime history.
