THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:(1) TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PRESERVE AND PROTECT GOOD HEALTH, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN SIERRA LEONE THROUGH:(A) THE PROVISION OF SPECIALIST RADIOLOGY DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING CENTRES AND PROVIDING TRAINING TO HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS IN X-RAY, ULTRASOUND, COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY (CT) AND ELECTROCARDIOGRAM (ECG) ANALYSIS AND ECHOCARDIOLOGY;(B) THE PROVISION OF MOBILE HEALTHCARE CLINICS AND PROVIDING TRAINING TO LOCAL HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AND COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE WORKERS IN PRIMARY HEALTHCARE, MATERNAL HEALTH AND THE USE OF MOBILE ULTRASOUND EQUIPMENT;(C) THE PROVISION OF FREE DENTAL CLINICS;(D) PROVIDING INFORMATION AND ADVICE TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC IN HEALTH MATTERS DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR HEALTH AND PREVENT DISEASE.(E) PROVIDING WATER WELLS IN REMOTE AREAS THAT LACK CLEAN WATER AND ENSURING THAT SUCH WELLS ARE MAINTAINED.(2) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN SIERRA LEONE, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF NEW SCHOOLS AND DEVELOPING OR REFURBISHING EXISTING SCHOOLS WITH THE AIM OF IMPROVING THE LIFE CHANCES OF CHILDREN LIVING IN SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES.
