What the charity does
Brackley Hogwatch carries out research into the decline of the hedgehog species, and investigates the reasons for decline in the Northamptonshire area. The charity actively raises awareness in the local community by encouraging the reporting of sick and underweight hedgehogs, and provide grants to further the research and improve survival rates, and provides education, advice and information.

(2)TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC CONCERNING HEDGEHOG WELFARE AND CONSERVATION THROUGH THE PROVISION OF INFORMATION AND ADVICE DESIGNED TO INCREASE THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE NEEDS OF THE HEDGEHOGS IN THEIR NATURAL HABITATS AND THE REASON FOR THEIR DECLINE. (3) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE HUMANE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS HEDGEHOGS IN BRACKLEY AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY PROVIDING FUNDING TO SUPPORT THE APPROPRIATE CARE, PROTECTION, TREATMENT AND SECURITY FOR THOSE HEDGEHOGS WHO ARE IN NEED OF RESCUE, CARE AND ATTENTION THROUGH SICKNESS, MALTREATMENT, POOR CIRCUMSTANCES OR ILL USE AND ENSURING THE SAFE RELEASE OF REHABILITATED HEDGEHOGS TO THEIR NATURAL HABITATS.
