What the charity does

We are a team of bereaved parents and healthcare professionals, working to ensure that parents affected by pregnancy loss receive good quality care, time and opportunities to create memories with their babies. The support we offer is flexible and based on individual needs. We offer support face to face, over the phone, via email and social media as well as group support sessions.

THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF BEREAVED PARENTS AND FAMILIES WHO HAVE SUFFERED THE LOSS OF A BABY DURING PREGNANCY OR AFTER BIRTH IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT RESTRICTED TO LEICESTER, LEICESTERSHIRE & RUTLAND IN SUCH WAYS AND BY SUCH MEANS AS ARE CHARITABLE WITHIN THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES, AND IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:• WORKING CLOSELY WITH HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS TO OFFER PEER TO PEER SUPPORT VIA THE PHONE, EMAIL AND FACE TO FACE MEETING TO ANYONE AFFECTED BY THE DEATH OF A BABY;• FUNDING ITEMS AND RESOURCES TO AID PARENTS IN THE MEMORY MAKING PROCESS AND TO ENABLE THE MATERNITY AND NEONATAL UNITS TO PROVIDE COMFORTS TO PARENTS GOING THROUGH LOSS;• REMOVING THE BARRIERS TO ACCESSING BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT FOR ALL FAMILIES BY WORKING COLLABORATIVELY WITH OTHER LOCAL ORGANISATIONS, BEREAVED PARENTS, HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AND EDUCATION PROVIDERS.• SIGNPOSTING THE BENEFICIARIES TO RELEVANT INFORMATION TO HELP ANYONE AFFECTED BY THE DEATH OF A BABY, AND;• PROVIDING PEER TO PEER SUPPORT FOR PARENTS IN SUBSEQUENT PREGNANCIES THROUGH OUR PREGNANCY AFTER LOSS SUPPORT GROUP.
