Charitable Objects
THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS (‘OBJECTS’) ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE FOLLOWING:(1) TO ADVANCE THE ISLAMIC FAITH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN BIRMINGHAM AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, MAINLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY MEANS OF PROVIDING A PLACE OF WORSHIP, RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AND PUBLIC CELEBRATIONS OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS.(2) TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY WORKING WITH PEOPLE IN BIRMINGHAM WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR ETHNIC ORIGIN, RELIGION, BELIEF OR CREED (IN PARTICULAR, MEMBER OF THE GUINEAN COMMUNITY) TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF SUCH PEOPLE AND ASSIST THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, IN PARTICULAR BY:(A) EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE;(B) PROVIDING WORKSHOPS/COURSES. HOMEWORK SUPPORT CLASSES AND GENERAL SUPPORT;(C) SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND EVENTS INVOLVING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY DIRECTED TO PROMOTING SOCIAL INCLUSION;(D) PROVIDING A LOCAL NETWORK GROUP THAT ENCOURAGES AND ENABLES MEMBERS OF THE GUINEAN COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPATE MORE EFFECTIVELY WITH THE WIDER COMMUNITY;(E) INCREASING, OR CO-ORDINATING, OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS OF THE GUINEAN COMMUNITY TO ENGAGE WITH SERVICE PROVIDERS, TO ENABLE THOSE PROVIDERS TO ADAPT SERVICES TO BETTER MEET THE NEEDS OF THAT COMMUNITY.
