THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: - A. THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND PRESERVATION OF HEALTH FOR THOSE WHO SOCIALLY OR ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED BY PROVIDING FREE MEDICAL CARE, TREATMENT, HEALTHCARE INITIATIVES, HEALTH EDUCATION AND TO WORK FOR THE WELFARE AND PROGRESS OF HUMANITY IN RELATION TO HEALTH AND WELLBEING, WITH A PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN PAKISTAN. B. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS AT FATIMA JINNAH MEDICAL UNIVERSITY, ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN AND ITS ALLIED HOSPITALS BY SUCH MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES IN THEIR DISCRETION THINK FIT INCLUDING, AWARDING STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIPS OR OTHER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ON TUITION; IMPROVING, RENOVATING, EXPANDING THE FACILITIES (INCLUDING INFRASTRUCTURE AND EQUIPMENT) FOR ACADEMIC AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES; PROMOTING EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL COLLABORATION WITH OTHER MEDICAL COLLEGES ACROSS THE WORLD AND ORGANISING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES WITH OTHER EDUCATION/TECHNICAL TRAINING INSTITUTES. C. THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND FINANCIAL HARDSHIP THROUGH THE PROVISION OF GRANTS, GOODS OR SERVICES.
