- THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:(1) THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION, PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF BURNLEY AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS BY THE PROVISION OF SWIMMING TEACHING, DEVELOPMENT AND COMPETITIVE ACTIVITIES.IN THE FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS: (2) THE CIO IS COMMITTED TO TREAT EVERYONE EQUALLY WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF ITS ACTIVITY AND WITH DUE RESPECT TO THE DIFFERENCES OF INDIVIDUALS. THIS SHALL BE, FOR EXAMPLE, REGARDLESS OF AGE, SEX, ETHNIC ORIGIN, RELIGION, DISABILITY OR POLITICAL PERSUASION, ON ANY GROUNDS. (3) THE CIO SHALL NOT APPLY NOR ENDORSE UNLAWFUL OR UNJUSTIFIED DISCRIMINATION AND SHALL ACT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE PROTECTIONS AFFORDED BY THE EQUALITY ACT 2010 (AS MAY BE AMENDED FROM TIME TO TIME).
