THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN AFRICA, PARTICULARLY IN UNDER-RESOURCED COMMUNITIES:1. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, PARTICULARLY THOSE WHO ARE VULNERABLE, DISADVANTAGED OR AT RISK, INCLUDING BY IMPROVING ACCESS TO EDUCATION; SUPPORTING LITERACY, LEARNING, SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND DISABILITIES (SEND) AND INCLUSIVE EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE; PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES; AND DELIVERING TRAINING, COACHING AND CAPACITY-BUILDING FOR TEACHERS, SCHOOL STAFF, PARENTS, CARERS AND PARTNER ORGANISATIONS;2. TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, AND AMONG THEIR FAMILIES OR CARERS WHERE SUCH SUPPORT IS INTENDED DIRECTLY TO BENEFIT CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, INCLUDING BY PROVIDING ESSENTIAL ITEMS, EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT, NUTRITION AND OTHER PRACTICAL ASSISTANCE;3.
