THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARETO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE COMBINED ARMED AND CIVILIAN SERVICES OF THE CROWN, INCLUDING VETERANS, FOR SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT AND IN PARTICULAR (WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING) BY; 1.1 FOSTERING ESPRIT DE CORPS, AND RAISING MORALE OF SERVING ARMED FORCES PERSONNEL, AND THEIR FAMILIES, INCLUDING RESERVES, AND FORMER COMBINED ARMED AND CIVILIAN SERVICES PERSONNEL 1.2 IMPROVING THE PHYSICAL FITNESS AND MENTAL WELLBEING BY THE PROVISION OF GRANTS. 1.3 ENCOURAGING PARTICIPATION IN SPORTS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THE SPORT OF RUGBY, AND ADVENTUROUS ACTIVITIES AND PROVIDING ASSISTANCE IN THE PROVISION OF SPORTING FACILITIES.
