Charitable purposes

The objects of the Company shall be the:- (a) advancement and promotion of the Irish language, culture and arts; (b) advancement of community development, in particular but not exclusively by: (i) the creation of employment and training opportunities for the unemployed; (ii) the provision of rights, welfare and legal advice and training to community and voluntary organisations or projects in Armagh City west (the “area of benefit”) for the benefit of the public; (iii) developing the capacity and skills of the members of socially and economically disadvantaged communities in the area of benefit in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society; (c) advancement of education and training; (d) provision of recreational facilities and activities for those who by reason of youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances have need of such facilities; (e) promotion of diversity and the open expression of ethnic, cultural and linguistic identity; (f) promotion of active participation in the cultural and artistic life of the community in Armagh City; (g) promotion of such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined.
