Purposes and classifications
Charitable purposes
The Charity’s objects (‘the Objects’) are to:- (1) To advance community development in the North Ballymena Community Cluster area of ‘Chapel Corner to ECOS Roundabout, Frys Road (both sides of Frys Road), Grove Road (both sides of Grove Road) to the Ballymoney Road Roundabout (east side of Ballymoney Road), Ballymoney Road Roundabout to the Parkway Roundabout, Parkway Roundabout to Chapel Corner’ (the “area of benefit”) for the benefit of the public in the area of benefit by: (i) providing support services, information, training, facilities and amenities; (ii) creating and supporting initiatives, developing projects and organising events that strengthen the community and voluntary sector; (iii) promoting community capacity building; (iv) promoting good practice among community and voluntary groups; (v) encouraging such groups to co-operate to achieve their aims. (vi) to provide and maintain a Forum where member organisations can join together to find mutual support, exchange views, share common issues and information, create a collective voice and work in partnership with statutory agencies and authorities. (2) To promote good community relations, religious and racial harmony and equality and diversity for the public benefit in the area of benefit.
