Charitable purposes

The Association is established for the relief of poverty, and the aged, the advancement of religion, the advancement of education and to promote the preservation of health and to promote the benefit of young people who have spent their childhood in orphanages and to promote the benefit of other young and older people who are in need of assistance as a result of their poverty or social or economic circumstances (hereinafter called "the beneficiaries,') in Eastern Europe and South America (hereinafter called the "area of benefit") and in particular: a) to provide residential accommodation for the sick, orphaned children; b) to train volunteers to provide education and facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said young people; c) to promote Christianity among such young and older people; d) to advance religion by means of evangelisation in the area of benefit and N. Ireland; e) to establish, maintain and manage or co-operate with any local authority in the maintenance of a residential centre or centres in the area of benefit for activities promoted by the association (hereinafter called “the Centre/s”).
