The object for which the Company is established is to take over and carry on the unincorporated trust known as the Ulster New Zealand Trust and thereby advance Public Education by the restoration and use of the building known as Ballance House, birth place of John Ballance political reformer and Prime Minister of New Zealand 1891-93 and to maintain the said building as a centre and focal point for the spread of knowledge of the history of the part played by Ulster men and women in the political, social and economic development of New Zealand and in particular of the career of John Ballance and the development of New Zealand during his time.
