Charitable purposes

The objects of the Company are: a)The relief of poverty and the relief of mental and physical distress among women who have been maltreated by their husbands, or by the man, or other members of their families with whom they are or have been living, and among the children of such women, and women in similar necessitous circumstances, by the provision of hostel accommodation and by other such means as shall further the said objects and to provide and maintain a temporary shelter for homeless women accompanied by children and girls over 17 years unaccompanied, in accordance with guidelines agreed with the Western Health and Social Service Board. b)To study further the wider problems of homelessness amongst women in the area in order to help these women achieve a more secure future.
