Purposes and classifications
Charitable purposes
The Company’s objects are specifically restricted to the advancement of education and the development of children and young people under the age of 14 (hereinafter called “the beneficiaries”) resident in the Omagh area and its environs in particular but not exclusively (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) through the encouragement of parents and guardians/carers in the understanding of and the provision for the needs of such children through community groups without distinction of age, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and in particular: (a) to offer appropriate development and play facilities, education, care facilities, family learning, extended hours and training courses together with the right of parents and guardians/carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of such groups and to ensure that such groups offer opportunities for all children regardless of their race, culture, religion, means or ability; (b) to encourage the study of the needs of such children and their families and the promotion of the public interest in the recognition of the needs of such children and their families in the area of benefit; (c) to provide high quality and affordable daily care facilities and facilities for the recreation and education of children out-of-school hours and during school holidays and, in addition, to provide care and educational development to those children under statutory school age; (d) to providing training for parents and carers of children in child development, parenting and other appropriate subjects; (e) to relieve unemployment through the provision of high quality and affordable childcare, training, learning and employment initiatives.
