Charitable purposes

OBJECTIVES Cairde will: 2.1 establish resources and services, which will respond to the evolving needs and interests of the Ex-prisoners and Displaced persons communities from Strabane town and surrounding area of Co Tyrone. It will provide resources, which will effectively assist with the empowerment of our community and to promote the benefits of these resources to the Ex-prisoners and Displaced person communities and to the wider inhabitants of the Strabane town and surrounding area of Co Tyrone and its environs (hereinafter described as “the area of benefit”). This will be done without distinction of age, sexually, race and political opinion, religious or other opinion. This will be done in association with the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants of the area in a common effort to advance these objectives. Cairde will provide facilities and support in the interests of health and wellbeing, social welfare, education, training, recreation or other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of the life for the said beneficiaries in the area of benefit.
