Purposes and classifications
Charitable purposes
(a) For the benefit of the public to work with parents, parents-to-be and children under the age of four in the Wards of Ballysally, Cross Glebe, Central and Churchlands, as well as the housing estates of Millburn and Windyhall. (b) To promote the physical, intellectual and social development of young children, particularly those experiencing social or economic deprivation, by: (i) supporting early bonding between parents and their children and enabling the early identification and support of children with emotional and behavioural difficulties; (ii) supporting parents in caring for their children to promote healthy development before and after birth; (iii) encouraging high quality environments and child care that promotes early learning, providing stimulating and enjoyable play experiences, improving language skills and ensuring early identification and support of children with special needs; (iv) developing the capacity and skills of parents and parents-to-be in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society. (c) To promote a community development approach to empowering families, and adopting a collaborative approach with partners and other stakeholders where possible. (d) The advancement of health and well-being. (e) The prevention or relief of poverty; (f) To further such other charitable purposes as the Directors in their discretion from time to time determine.
