Charitable purposes
The Armagh Pipers Club's objectives are the advancement of arts and culture, in particular the pro-motion of Irish traditional music and song, including the related music of Scotland, England, Wales, Brittany, Cape Breton and Asturias by delivering: (A) An Education Programme that will include all or any of the following: 1. Weekly classes for the teaching of traditional music and song 2. Publishing and making available books, recordings and other forma of educational media to support weekly classes. 3. An Annual Concert and monthly Family Sessions to develop members’ confidence, perfor-mance skills and promote intergenerational learning. 4. Acoustic performances, recitals, master-classes workshop and cultural exchanges to devel-op members’ skills, technique and repertoire. 5. Providing training and mentorship for tutors and students and prepare students for and facili-tate formal music examinations. 6. Administer the annual Mark Donnelly Bursary for students of piping (B) An Artistic Programme that will include all or any of the following: 1. The annual William Kennedy Piping Festival 2. Uilleann pipe making workshop, providing education and tuition in pipe making and mainte-nance. 3. Promoting and presenting concerts, master-classes, sessions, lectures and residentials. 4. Providing local musicians with work experience, career enhancement and professional en-gagement opportunities. 5. Developing links and work in partnership with other cultural organisations
