Charitable purposes

The Association is to provide education and support for parents and carers of, and individuals with Down’s Syndrome (hereinafter called "the beneficiaries") in the following postcode areas: BT57 8, BT56 8, BT55 7, BT54 6, BT53 6,7,8, BT52 2,1, BT51 4,3, BT44 8,9,0, BT43 5,6,7, and BT42 1,2,3,4 (hereinafter called the "area of benefit") without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said beneficiaries, and in particular to: A) To foster an atmosphere of mutual support among the beneficiaries and to encourage a forum for mutual support; B) To raise awareness, for the benefit of the public, about Down's Syndrome, and methods of treatment and management of the condition.
