Charitable purposes

The Association is established to: 2.1 Good Morning Down is established to provide a free telephone befriending, support and alert service to older persons and vulnerable adults (hereinafter referred to as the 'beneficiaries') resident in the Co Down Area (hereinafter referred to as the 'area of benefit'), who are experiencing loneliness, social isolation, fear of crime and health-related problems by supporting the beneficiaries to remain independent within their homes and communities by the provision of practical and psychological support and relevant services and to encourage beneficiaries to build social networks. 2.2 to establish or to secure the establishment of 1 Centre in Co Down (hereinafter called “the Centre”) and to maintain and manage or to co-operate with any local organisation(s) in the maintenance and management of such Centre for the activities promoted by Good Morning Down in furtherance of the above objects.
