Purposes and classifications
Charitable purposes
1. The charity’s aims are known in this document as ‘Objects’. The charity’s Objects are specifically restricted to the following: 1. to operate for the advancement of health and the relief of sickness and suffering in Northern Ireland of those in need by reason of ill-health, disability and financial hardship; 2. to principally aid and improve the health, well-being and quality of life of those suffering from Multiple Sclerosis by any lawful means including the following:- a. by providing a range of evidence-based therapies (including hyperbaric oxygen therapy and physiotherapy) that can be used effectively to complement and support the holistic health of those with Multiple Sclerosis in the interests of improving their health, well-being and quality of life; b. by providing information, advice, guidance and moral and practical support for sufferers of Multiple Sclerosis and their families, friends and carers to help them come to terms with their diagnosis, manage their symptoms and improve their health, well-being and quality of life; c. by bringing together people with Multiple Sclerosis and their families, friends and carers as well as those with an interest in the disease, to encourage, help and support one another. 3. to extend the charity’s therapeutic services to sufferers of other health conditions and their families, friends and carers, for whom such therapies and support would be beneficial, in the interests of improving their health, well-being and quality of life.
