Charitable purposes

The Charity’s objects are specifically restricted to the following: to advance education, relieve unemployment and develop the capacity and skills of individuals with learning and intellectual disabilities (hereinafter called “the beneficiaries”) primarily in the North West of Ireland and its environs, but not exclusively, and in any other part of the world (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) by associating the statutory authorities, businesses, schools, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort and in particular: (a) to provide, or assist in the provision of, programmes of education, including accredited and vocational training designed to assist the beneficiaries to lead to employment and to enhance their personal development; (b) to provide support and guidance to the beneficiaries in the transition towards employment; (c) to create training and employment opportunities for the beneficiaries in the area of benefit; (d) to develop model methodologies, and to conduct research in an effort to promote good practice in the design and delivery of such educational, vocational and life skill programmes;
