The forum is established to: 2.1 promote the benefit of people with disabilities & their carer’s in Cookstown District Council Area (hereinafter called the "area of benefit") by: a) Providing a forum and voice for those with disabilities and their carers to address local priority needs; b) Providing a conduit and a source to provide projects that help to assist those with disabilities to engage and socially integrate with the community; c) And consult with local statutory and community/voluntary agencies in order to help address social isolation, eliminate discrimination and provide access to services for people with disabilities.
