Charitable purposes

The purposes of the charity (‘the purposes’) are:- (1) to advance the education of children in Northern Ireland regarding the environmental importance of coral reef ecosystems by providing educational programmes and field trips and collaborating with local educational institutions to engage children and raise awareness of environmental developments in relation to coral reef ecosystems; (2) to advance environmental protection and improvement by establishing, preserving, restoring, maintaining, monitoring and safeguarding coral reef ecosystems internationally and particularly in developing countries, to measure and promote sustainable growth and development and increased employment opportunities; (3) to advance environmental protection and improvement by re-establishing and maintaining a viable, self-sustaining and breeding population of White Tailed Sea Eagles in the North West of Ireland, after an absence of 110 years in association with the National Parks and Wildlife Service and in particular to implement the White Tailed Sea Eagle Reintroduction Project in Ards Forest Park in North Donegal; Nothing in this deed shall authorise an application of the property of the Charity for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with s.2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
