Charitable purposes

1.To support paediatric research through publications and scientific meetings • foster the highest quality science and research ethics within the discipline of paediatrics and neonatology • publish scientific journals that aim to be at the top of their peer group for scientific quality, ethics and impact, and which provide significant financial support to facilitate the other activities of The Society • support scientific meetings of outstanding international quality and relevance for the broadest possible range of paediatric disciplines, with very high standards of presentation and discussion. These should provide ample opportunities for young investigators to present their findings to the most relevant experts in the field promote links with paediatrics in other countries and to foster pediatrics internationally 2. To support education in paediatrics • encourage a high quality courses which provide continuing professional development training in paediatrics • support and encourage trainee paediatrician at formative stages in their careers • provide training opportunities in new techniques of value to paediatricians 3. To communicate the importance of paediatrics • foster a clear medical, public and government understanding of paediatrics, highlighting contributions to medicine, society and the economy
