Charitable purposes
The charity’s objects (“Objects”) are specifically restricted to the following:- To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Greater Greencastle and Whitewell areas of North Belfast (the “area of benefit”) without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, or political, religious or other opinion by associating with the community and voluntary organisations, statutory authorities and inhabitants in a common effort to: (1) promote good community relations, religious and racial harmony and equality and diversity; (2) advance conflict resolution and reconciliation and raise cultural awareness within and between communities in the area of benefit; (3) advance active citizenship and community development by providing programmes and facilities for individuals and community and voluntary groups and organisations; (4) provide shared space facilities and amenities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for all of the said inhabitants; (5) disseminate information and material which is of benefit to the community; (6) promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined.
