Charitable purposes

a) To promote and enhance the welfare of all residents in the GLENAVY WARD, DISTRICT OF LISBURN ELECTORAL AREA without distinction of age, gender, sexuality, nationality, ethnic identity, disability, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education. b) To promote rural regeneration for the benefit of the inhabitants of Glenavy Ward and to search out and encourage job creation in tourism and leisure pursuits. c) To encourage, build and develop good community relations in the area. d) To provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. e) To protect and preserve the environmental, cultural, architectural and historical heritage of the area of benefit of the general public, to negotiate on behalf of and in the best intent and wellbeing of the community.
