Charitable purposes

The Association is established to promote general charitable purposes for the benefit of the Waterside area of Londonderry and its environs in Northern Ireland (hereinafter called the "area of benefit") without distinction of gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants and in particular to: - promote Community Relations and Community Involvement through the provision of facilities for a range of community services, training and resources for the benefit of the general public - to educate and assist children and young people so as to develop their physical. mental and emotional capabilities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and so that their conditions of life may be improved - to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for the education, recreation and leisure-time occupation of Senior Citizens who by reason of social or economic circumstances have need of such facilities.
