Purposes and classifications
Charitable purposes
The objects for which the Mission is established are: (a) To take over the whole of the property of the Society heretofore known as the Belfast City Mission, and to take or procure to be taken steps as may be necessary under the law relating to charities or charitable trusts for validly and effectually vesting the same property in the Mission or in any trustees, and to undertake, execute, and perform any trusts or conditions affecting the whole or any part of such property, and to undertake all or any of the liabilities of such Society, and to carry on the work heretofore carried on by the said Society. (b) To promote the cause of Christ among the poor and non-churchgoing people of the City of Belfast and adjacent districts, and to promote the spiritual, moral, intellectual, and physical welfare of such people.
