3. OBJECTS 3.1. The objects of the RDC shall be:- To promote the development of rural and urban areas through assisting and working with individuals, community, voluntary, private and public sectors by delivering a range of economic, social, cultural, farming and environmental projects and programmes in or for the benefit of Northern Ireland or any part of the island of Ireland (hereinafter known as the area of benefit) • To create practical projects and actions to ensure economic vibrancy and social well-being • To encourage social and economic entrepreneurship, partnership working and common approaches for all individuals and agencies working in community development • To make our communities inclusive and attractive places to live by assisting community organisations to develop an interest in local culture, history, arts and traditions
