The Association is established for the advancement of community development and active citizenship for the public benefit of the inhabitants of Bushmills and District Area of Co Antrim (hereinafter described as 'the area of benefit') by the following means: 2.1 to relieve poverty by the provision of advice and information on housing, benefits, etc to residents of Bushmills for the public benefit. 2.2 to advance the education among young people in Bushmills by developing programmes and support structures to improve outcomes in the area. 2.3 to advance community development through regular contact and meetings with local statutory and voluntary agencies to improve the services and facilities for the public benefit. 2.4 to promote the health and wellbeing of residents of Bushmills through the provision of courses, programmes and classes for the public benefit. 2.5 to promote better community spirit and active citizenship among local people in the area by the delivery of positive community events and the provision of volunteering opportunities.. 2.6 the advance the culture and heritage of the inhabitants of the local area of Bushmills by improving local peoples understanding of their culture for the public benefit through projects and courses. 2.7 the advance environmental issues directly affecting Bushmills by involvement in litter picks, etc. for the public benefit.
