KANI seeks to promote the interests of Kenyans living in Northern Ireland by: a) Promoting awareness of training, educational and business opportunities. b) Promoting health issues, leisure, and recreational activities in order to enhance the social wellbeing of the community. c) To relieve persons who are in need, poverty and distress by providing advice and support in relation to a variety of issues, including: homelessness, asylum and immigration detention, hate crime, health concerns, discrimination and any issues that negatively impact the health and wellbeing of Kenyans in Northern Ireland. d) Promoting integration and good community relations by enhancing knowledge and understanding of Kenyan art, music, literature, culture and people amongst the local Northern Ireland population. e) Fostering a culture that supports positive identity and preserves Kenyan cultural attributes and languages.
