The Band is established to: 1. Promote interest in Brass musical traditions within N. Ireland and overseas. 2. Preserve the existing repertoire of Brass music. 3. Develop the genre through the production of new work and encourage its continued enjoyment and acceptance within the whole population of Northern Ireland. 4. Encourage persons of all ages and both sexes to develop their instrumental skills and talents. 5. Advance knowledge and appreciation of the Ulster-Scots language and culture and to encourage understanding and acceptance of all indigenous cultures to the area of benefit.
