Cairde na mBeann is established to advance education and to promote the arts through the medium of the Irish language for the benefit of the general public in Mourne and its environs and in particular: to promote public awareness, knowledge and understanding of the Gaelic cultural heritage, bi-bilingualism and the Irish language; advance education of children/adults without distinction of sex or race or of political, religious or other opinions through the medium of the Irish language; to promote public awareness, knowledge and understanding of the common cultural heritage of the Gaelic peoples of Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man.
