Charitable purposes

The charity has one sole purpose: The relief, assistance and advancement of those individuals with Spina Bifida or Hydrocephalus or any or all allied or related disorders, resident within the Belfast area and the surrounding districts. This will be achieved by: 2.1 Assisting in providing and encouraging the provision of facilities for diagnosis, medical, physical and surgical treatment with all necessary appliances. 2.2 Providing financial assistance, making grants and donations to and providing equipment and apparatus for such persons and generally to provide such other assistance calculated to be of benefit to such persons collectively or individually. 2.3 Promoting and encouraging research and experimental work calculated to be of benefit to such persons. 2.4 Collecting and disseminating information relating to the care, education, treatment and rehabilitation of such persons. 2.5 Financing by donations or loans with or without security and otherwise assist local or other charities whose purposes are wholly or in part similar to those of The Association. 2.6 Doing all such things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above purposes or any of them, including in particular (but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing) borrowing or raising money in such amounts in such manner and upon such terms as the trustees shall think fit.
