Purposes and classifications
Charitable purposes
3.1 The objects of the Association shall be to: (a) Promote the efficiency and effectiveness of community and voluntary organisations and projects in the area by providing advice, education and training, and practical support to such organisations and projects for the benefit of the public; (b) Promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of age, gender, ethnicity or political, religious or other opinions by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to: (i) Advance education; (ii) Preserve and protect health; (iii) Provide public amenities and facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants; (iv) Establish or secure the establishment of a Centre, and to maintain and manage the same (whether alone or in cooperation with any local authority or other person or body) in furtherance of these objects; and (v) Promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined.
