Charitable purposes

The Group is established to: Promote the benifit of the inhabitants of the Kilmcrew areaand its environs in Corbet, Killaney, Knockgorm& Scolvan(hereinafter described as the 'area of benefit') without distinction of age, sex, race, disability, political, religious or other opinion. It will also do so by assiciation the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interestsof the welfare, education, recretion or other leisure-time occupationwith the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitnts; Establish a Community Develpment Initiative and to cooperate with other relevant organisations in the promotion of activities by the Group and its constituent bodies in furtherance of the above objects. Advance knowledge and appreciation of the Ulster-Scots language and to encourage understanding and acceptance of ll the indigenous cultures to the area of benefit.
