Charitable purposes

The purposes of Mid-Armagh Community Network are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Mid-Armagh and its environs of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland (herein called the “area of benefit”) and primarily (but not exclusively) to promote the benefit of those inhabitants who are of Ulster Scots descent, or who self-identify as Ulster Scots, (“the primary beneficiaries”) by associating with statutory authorities, voluntary organisations, and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, to promote and preserve Ulster Scots heritage, cultural traditions and arts, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for education, recreation and other leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants, and in particular: (a) To advance education concerning Ulster Scots heritage, history, language and culture, and promote Ulster Scots arts, music, dance, literature, poetry, song and drama for the benefit of the inhabitants by the provision of classes, lectures, events and performances.
