The Company’s objects are specifically restricted to the preservation, protection and promotion of mental health and well being, the relief of poverty and sickness, the advancement of education and the promotion of the benefit of the inhabitants (hereinafter called “the beneficiaries”) of Northern Ireland and its environs of the United Kingdom(hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the local and statutory authorities, medical and other public health bodies, community and voluntary organizations, the private sector and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
