The Group is established to promote the welfare of the aged in any manner deemed by law to be charitable. To provide a range of facilities for older people living in the Larne area delivering social recreational and health related activities among people aged 55 or over a) promote the welfare of the aged in any manner deemed by law to be charitable (b) to organise such specific services and activities for the well being of older people as are desirable (c) provide information for older people and those interested in the welfare of older people (d) to focus attention on the needs of and services available for older people by helping promote research, exhibitions, and training courses (e) to bring together representation of local voluntary agencies, statutory bodies in furtherance of the above (f) promote where necessry and comply with the NI Vulnerable Persons Act
