Charitable purposes

The Charity's objects ("Objects") are specifically restricted to the following: The Relief of Poverty of Freemasons, their wives/partners, children and the families and widows of deceased Freemasons who are experiencing financial hardship, and who are inhabitants (hereinafter called the "beneficiaries") of the island of Ireland in particular but not exclusively, ("hereinafter called the "area of benefit"). To assist any duly constituted Masonic Charities, i.e. any charitable Masonic Undertaking which meets the legal requirements of the country or state in which they are registered, or any other legally regulated non- Masonic charity as approved by a majority of the Committee. The Advancement of Health or saving of lives by providing funding to facilitate Medical Research in Ireland and by providing Teddies for children in severe distress attending hospital emergency departments and who, in the opinion of medical staff would benefit from a teddy in order to alleviate their distress.
