Charitable purposes

The Association is established to maintain the culture and diverse needs of Muslim families (hereinafter referred as the beneficiaries) of Craigavon area and its environs of Craigavon Borough council (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and in particular: a) To maintain and manage or co-operate with any local authority in the maintenance of a centre or centres in the area of benefit for activities prompted by the association (hereinafter called the centre). b) To promote good relations between persons of different racial groups generally, and particularly between racial groups professing the Muslim faith and all other inhabitants of the said area.
