3.1 The Association is a Christian faith based organization established to advance education, community development and to promote health and mutual support among families in the Ballyclare area (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations, the inhabitants of the area of benefit and the said families in a common effort to provide relevant services, training, support and facilities in the interests of education and/or recreation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said families and in particular to; a) maintain and manage or co-operate with any local authority in the maintenance of a centre or centres in the area of benefit for activities promoted by the association ( hereinafter called "the Centre").
