Charitable purposes

The purpose of the organisation is to:- (1) Promote cultural, economic and social regeneration, advance community development and promote the relief of poverty and social exclusion on the island of Ireland by all or any of the following means: (a) provide facilities and specialist technical, training and support services to Raidió Fáilte or any successor organisation; (b) promote, publicise and provide facilities and support to Irish language-based creative and cultural enterprises, community and voluntary organisations and social enterprises; (c) encourage interest in, and raise awareness of the Irish language, culture, arts, heritage and social history issues; (d) organise and/or provide facilities for exhibitions and displays, talks, workshops, seminars and other events; (e) encourage and foster community involvement in voluntary activity; (f) promote understanding and tolerance of cultural linguistic diversity. (2) Advance education and training by: (a) organising and delivering training in radio communication, production and broadcasting and other media and related skills; (b) providing training, mentoring and resources to Irish speakers and learners; (c) acquiring, holding, restoring and maintaining a publicly accessible Archive of Irish language recordings and broadcasts and visual media to facilitate the pursuit of education and research. (3) Assist any charitable, voluntary or community body or bodies which assistance may include informing the community of their activities. (4) Promote such other exclusively charitable purposes in accordance with the law of charity in Northern Ireland as may from time to time be determined.
