To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Sunnylands and Woodburn area in Carrickfergus (the "area of benefit") without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, or political, religious or other opinion by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary and community organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to: (a) Promote active citizenship and develop the capacity and skills of the members of the community in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet their needs and to participate more fully in society; (b) Relieve those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability or other disadvantage and promote community safety; (c) Encourage the development of facilities in the interests of social welfare and with the intention of improving the conditions of life for the said residents; (d) Advance health and promote participation in healthy recreation; (e) Promote the improvement of the local environment and the improvement of public amenities; (f) Promote good community relations and social cohesion, racial harmony and equality and diversity
