Purposes and classifications
Charitable purposes
The objects of the Company shall be to provide and promote a supportive service for new and existing Child Contact Centres in Northern Ireland (the "area of benefit") - Child Contact Centres being defined as Centres that offer a safe, friendly and neutral environment where children of separated families can spend time with one or both parents and/or other family members - and to facilitate and assist their development by: (a) promoting and publicising the concept of Child Contact Centres and to educate the public as to the importance of continued contact between children and their families after separation and divorce; (b) the provision of opportunities for constructive discussion of issues around policy and practice and to encourage the development of best practice in all Child Contact Centres in the area of benefit; (c) the provision of resource material and relevant publications and to encourage the development and sharing of education, training and other resources; (d) developing networks with agencies involved in separation and divorce, including potential referrers, courts, legal professional, Health and Social Services Trusts and relevant voluntary and community organisation; (e) monitoring, evaluating and encouraging new developments in relation to Child Contact Centres; (f) encouraging and promoting research; (g) assisting with fundraising.
