Purposes and classifications
Charitable purposes
The objects and purposes for which the Company is established are for the benefit of the public in Northern Ireland and throughout the world: 5.1.1 to promote national and international conflict resolution and reconciliation with a view to relieving suffering and distress and building and maintaining social cohesion and trust within and between communities; 5.1.2 to promote human rights (in particular the human rights of victims of conflict and forced migration) as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and subsequent United Nations conventions and declarations by all or any of the following means: (a) research into human rights issues; (b) raising awareness of human rights issues; (c) promoting public support for human rights; (d) promoting respect for human rights among individuals and corporations; 5.1.3 to promote religious or racial harmony by: (a) promoting knowledge and mutual understanding and respect of the beliefs and practices of different religious faiths; (b) promoting knowledge and mutual understanding between different racial groups 5.1.4 to advance citizenship or community development by promoting social inclusion.
