Charitable purposes
"The Charity’s objects (“Objects”) are specifically restricted to the following:- (1) The promotion, for the benefit of the public, of rural or urban regeneration in areas of economic, physical and social deprivation (and in particular the Upper Lough Erne and its environs) by all or any of the following means: (a) The advancement of education, training or retraining, particularly among unemployed people, and providing unemployed people with work experience. (b) The creation of training and employment opportunities by the provision of workspace. (c) The provision of recreational activities for the public at large or those who by reason of their youth, age, ill-health or disability, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances, have need of such activities. (d) The promotion and development of conservation of the environment for recreational needs. (e) The promotion an awareness of public safety. (2) To promote sustainable development for the benefit of the public and the local community by: (a) protecting and enhancing the natural and built environment. (b) promoting sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration. Sustainable development means “development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs” (3) To raise awareness of the public regarding the natural environment, culture, history and heritage of the Upper Lough Erne area by providing information and advice to local inhabitants and visitors. “
