Purposes and classifications
Charitable purposes
The Charity’s objects (“Objects”) are specifically restricted to the following:- The promotion for the public benefit of urban regeneration in the Greater Shankill area, an area of social and economic deprivation, by all or any of the following means:- (1) The creation of training and employment opportunities by the provision of: (i) workspace, buildings and/or land for use on favourable terms; (ii) technical assistance or business advice or consultancy to facilitate the setting up of businesses or the expansion of existing businesses. (2) The provision of advice, training and other support services to community and voluntary groups and the development of social enterprises. (3) The relief of unemployment in such ways as may be thought fit. (4) Facilitating and strengthening access to employment and enterprise, in particular, but not exclusively, for young people, by providing: (i) education, training and mentoring in business skills, entrepreneurship and related subjects to improve their commercial and entrepreneurial capabilities; (ii) life skills coaching and mentoring with the object of enabling them to develop their interpersonal and other skills to enhance their employment prospects and provide opportunities for them to participate fully in the life of their community.
