Charitable purposes

Annaclone Y.A.H. Group is established to advance education, relieve poverty and to promote the preservation and protection of health among older people aged 55 or over (hereafter known as "the beneficiaries") in Annaclone and the its environs of County Down ("the area of benefit") without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, disability/ability, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort, and in particular to: (a) provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for the education, recreation and leisure-time occupation of the beneficiaries who by reason of social or economic circumstances have need of such facilities; (b) to foster an atmosphere of mutual support and encouragement among the beneficiaries; (c) provide or secure the provision of welfare rights advice and information and refer those in need of professional assistance to the relevant agencies; (d) provide, maintain and equip or assist in the provision, maintenance and equipment of premises and facilities designed to carry out the objects of Annaclone Y.A.H. Group.
